Lions Olympiad Foundation is a registered educational organisation headquartered in New Delhi promotes learning beyond the school curriculum among the students (Class I - X) innovatively; thereby realise their potential and developing their skills for a brighter and enterprising future. It was founded by former Lions Governor and educationist Mr. Arvind Sangal, who is inspired by the humanitarian initiatives of Lions Club International. The Lions Club International, a 108-year-old organization, operates in 205 countries, working in the areas of education, healthcare, environment, and social service. Over the years, it has become a strong symbol of service and philanthropy worldwide.
The Lions Olympiad is designed to assess students through a two-stage examination process, with awards presented at the school, regional, and national levels. Both stages of the exams are conducted on the school campus.
School-level awards are given based on the results within a particular school, while regional-level awards are determined by the performance of students within one of the seven designated regions. National-level awards are conferred based on the combined results of all seven regions.
Considering the geographical perspective of India, the country has been divided into six regions for the Lions Olympiad, based on regional classification and one region is designated for international schools, making a total of seven regions.
